About “River TV”…..
“River TV” was initially created to be a magazine style TV Show on Echuca/Moama, and was to be broadcast on C31 Community TV in Melbourne. However, it soon became clear that we could not recruit willing volunteers for the project, and the idea soon lapsed.
“River TV Sport” came into being around four years ago, when we became the operators of Moama Cricket Club’s “FrogBox” video equipment. For several seasons, we have operated this equipment to provide live video streams of Moama Cricket Club matches, weekly during the cricket season.
Mostly streaming from Moama Recreation Reserve, we have also visited other Goulburn Murray Cricket venues from time to time and have also streamed Echuca Carnival matches for Veterans Cricket Victoria, and recently, also streamed a D Grade Grand Final for Cricket Shepparton.
On September 14th, 2024, we launched a Streaming TV Channel, operating 24 hours / 7 days a week. This channel, known as “River TV 24” operated for a number of months, before it was suspended due to a lack of local interest, and trouble finding content for the service. There was also a 24/7 channel called “River TV Sport 24”, also now suspended
River TV Echuca Moama Association (in its current form) was established on September 27th, 2024 as an unincorporated association. On November 10th, 2024, we held a Public Meeting and voted to incorporate the group in Victoria.
River TV at the moment aims to continue with “River TV Sport”, and is trying to establish a Online Chat Show, to be called “River Chat”. Both of these aspects require members and volunteers to be able to be achieved.
The shows to be recorded for “River Chat” will be posted to the River TV YouTube channel for on demand viewing.
River TV Membership is now available! Our annual membership fee is $20 for individuals, and $100 for local Community Groups.
