River TV was launched in Echuca/Moama in September 2021.  At that time, it was intended to be a local video project, involving volunteers, with a view to becoming a TV show on C31 Melbourne.
Sadly, the response to the project was underwhelming, and realising I would be “on my own” with it, the project in that form was dropped quickly.
Later, the name was re-purposed as “River TV Sport”, and Michael joined the Moama Cricket Club as the video operator.
Now in its third season of video coverage, River TV Sport continues to provide video services to Moama Cricket Club.
September 2024 saw the launch of “River TV 24”, a 24/7 streaming TV channel aimed at Echuca/Moama.  The launch night went a bit haywire, but after a few hours, operation of the channel settled down into a smooth operation.  Initially launching with old and new Community TV programs from Melbourne, we hope to develop local content for the service as soon as we can.
Also launched was “River TV Sport 24” soon after.  This 24/7 streaming TV channel will show sports related shows and replays of Cricket and Roller Derby.
On September 28th, 2024, River TV became an unincorporated association – River TV Echuca Moama Association. A public meeting to incorporate will be held in November 2024.
We look forward to seeing what the future will bring with our local TV and Video services!
